CAMP STAFF: The benchmark of a successful summer camp experience and what a child remembers most about their camp experience is usually the camp's staff members. Club Scientifics' summer camps provide an exciting and safe atmosphere for children, while exploring the world of science. All of our camps take the job of teaching and caring for children seriously!
Club Scientific demands that ALL STAFF POSITIONS be filled with Candidates who exhibit the following characteristics:
AND ABOVE ALL... AN ABSOLUTE LOVE FOR CHILDREN; DESIRE TO MAKE SURE THE CAMPER HAS AN UNFORGETTABLE CAMP EXPERIENCE/MEMORY; AND A GENUINE INTEREST IN SCIENCE!
NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT EXHIBIT THESE CHARACTERISTICS THEN THIS CAMP IS NOT FOR YOU! OUR CAMP DAY IS FILLED WITH MANY SCIENCE ACTIVITIES AND OUR CLASSROOMS ARE NORMALLY SOLD OUT! Our camper to staff ratio is 8:1.
CAMP DIRECTORS: MUST HOLD A COLLEGE DEGREE(S)
Camp Directors are responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Day Camp Site, including the supervision of all lead teachers, camp counselors, and campers. Director Candidates, along with meeting the criteria listed above, must have experience in leadership and risk management. Site Directors will be accountable for following Club Scientifics' guidelines for 
operation as well as respecting and protecting the Club Scientific Brand. Site Directors will report directly to the owners of Club Scientific.
All Candidates must submit to a background check and be able to COMMIT to the MULTIPLE WEEK camp program at the location you have been assigned. Candidates MUST, NO EXCEPTIONS, attend our 4 day, paid training session!
LEAD TEACHER: MUST HOLD A COLLEGE DEGREE(S)
Lead Teachers are responsible for assisting college counselors in the implementation of our weekly science camp curriculum and participate in supervision of campers, camp games, and outdoor activities. Lead Teachers, along with meeting the criteria listed above, must demonstrate leadership abilities and be able to follow and execute directions from the Site Director. Lead Teachers will be accountable for following Club Scientifics' guidelines for operation as well as respecting and protecting the Club Scientific Brand.

COLLEGE COUNSELORS: MUST HAVE COMPLETED ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE, SUCCESSFULLY, AND BE ENROLLED FOR THE 2008 FALL SEMESTER.
Our goal each year is to recruit the best possible camp counselors from college campuses all over Georgia and surrounding states. We will implement a four-step process to help us reach our goal of hiring camp counselors that will not only demonstrate a love for children, but will protect our respected Club Scientific Brand.
Camp counselors will be role models for our campers and will take this job seriously by providing a positive and friendly interaction with the campers in an environment that allows the campers to feel safe, comfortable and excited about the task at hand. Therefore; Camp Counselors, along with meeting the criteria listed above, must be highly energetic and demonstrate that they too are enjoying the camp experience!
ALL CLUB SCIENTIFIC STAFF will complete a MANDATORY, comprehensive, paid training program that will include on-line and classroom training.
Topics for the training will include: Camper safety; emergency response; curriculum expertise; classroom management; camper to camper relationships; fostering self-esteem; implementation of lesson plans and projects; science inquiry skills; process skills; training for all outdoor activities; protecting the Club Scientific Brand
